The SPACE offers a range of dynamic youth-led programs that are free to join. We plan our programs to respond to the youth accessing the centre, and so many happen on a rotational basis. The best place to be up to date is by checking out our monthly calendar. Below are our core programs:

Homework Club

Wednesday - Thursday | 4:00-6:00pm

It’s learnin’ time. The school day continues with help from peer tutors, volunteers and staff. Finish your homework and then join us for some of our other programs!

Thursday | 4:30-5:30pm | weekly

Afropuff is an alternating series for Black youth and Black girls to share space while exploring identity, mental health and community.

Steel Express

Friday | 5:30-8:30pm | weekly

An urban dance styles hub in which a variety of different hosts share and teach their respective artforms. No experience needed to join!

Friday | 6:30-8:30pm | weekly

Come join our 2S-LGBTQ youth circle, where we try to build an intentional space prioritizing community care and centering the voices of youth with multiple marginalized identities. Come through for fun activities, healing, learning and food!

Community events are a time when we can all come together, build solidarity, eat, talk and celebrate. These events include community dinners, holiday dinners, teachings, and workshops.

OQRA is a social and informal support group for QTBIPOC. OQRA offers the chance to connect with other racialized LGBTQIA2S+ folks in a private and empowering community setting where confidentiality is valued. Contact us or talk to a staff for more info!

Let's Be Social
